On October 11, 2018, the first China elderly care products and rehabilitation accessories design competition sponsored by the department of civil affairs of hunan province came to a close. Hubei rehabilitation accessories technology center, with three independently developed 3D printing rehabilitation accessories products, stood out among the competitors and won the enterprise innovation award.

Hubei rehabilitation accessory technology center participated in the competition of three products for 3D printing breathable leg integrated prosthesis, 3D printing part of the foot prosthesis and 3D printing airbag spinal orthopedic device. The r&d team creatively integrates 3D printing technology into the rehabilitation AIDS. Among them, 3D printing breathable leg integrated prosthesis solves the problem of airtight prosthesis for a long time, and adopts ultra-lightweight weight reduction manufacturing to make disabled people more comfortable and light to wear. This product has obtained the national utility model patent certificate.

It is reported that since 2016, in hubei province with the support from the home office, assistive devices technical rehabilitation center in hubei province make full use of 3 d printing devices, newly introduced with huazhong university of science and technology cooperation, have developed a 3 d printing prosthetic brace design system, the applications of 3 d printing technology to recover auxiliary equipment research and development of technology, research and development of 3 d printing series product delivery patients used in good condition, obtained the good social effect and attention.
